When are people going to get it through their heads that we can't "turn people gay"?
Bloomburg, Texas high school girls basketball coach Merry Stephens has been fired from her job for being a lesbian. Officially, she was fired for being insubordinate, but everyone knows what's going on here.

Stephens said that she was blamed when one of her former players, now in college, revealed she was a lesbian. That player's parents insisted that the superintendent, Jerry Hendrick, fire Stephens because she had "converted their daughter," Stephens said. Hendrick and all but one of the six school board members did not return phone messages seeking comment on the controversy.
On the positive side, several girls from the team have quit in support of their former coach. At least there's some amount of reason at work there.
